Protected forest (Jama-Coaque Reserve) versus unprotected forest (one mile away)

Third Millennium Alliance is working to preserve the last remnants of rainforest and cloud forest in coastal Ecuador, which was designated by Conservation International as the most threatened tropical forest in the world. Only 2-4% of forest still remains in this bioregion and our mission is to preserve the last of it. Contributions go toward the management and expansion of the Jama-Coaque Ecological Reserve, local community education and sustainable development projects, and habitat restoration through reforestation.

Contribution Options

The last few ocelots in the region rely on the Jama-Coaque Reserve for their survival. This species of wild feline is on the brink of elimination in coastal Ecuador.
